The Arc of Illinois is the Family-to-Family Health Information Center (F2F) and the Family Voices Affiliate Organization (FVAO) in Illinois.

The Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD) serves 8 counties in Illinois, including Lake, Cook, Will, Dupage, Kane, Grundy, McHenry, and Kendall. FRCD stands as a beacon of support and empowerment for families in the Chicago Metropolitan Area who have children with disabilities. Dedicated to ensuring that every child receives the quality education and services they deserve, FRCD offers a wealth of resources and guidance to parents navigating the intricate landscape of special education.
Lake and and McHenry County-based program that exists to ensure that all people with disabilities have the tools they need to live independently. They are governed and staffed by a majority of people with disabilities.
The Autism Resource Center at Rush University Medical Center provides referrals for families who have a child with an autism spectrum disorder. The Autism Resource Center’s team has developed an online resource guide to help families find referrals in the following counties: Lake, McHenry, Kane, DuPage, Cook, Kendall, Will, Grundy and Kankakee.
The Clearbrook empowers adults and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live their fullest lives possible. This program provides counseling and clinical services. This agency also offers individualized resources for residential, employment, community, day, home-based, respite, and early intervention services for individuals of all ages in numerous locations including Libertyville.
Food and Clothing:
Families can order groceries through this site to pick up in various locations. This food can also be delivered to them by DoorDash if they live within a 10-mile radius of the Park City Food Pantry (440 Keller Dr., Park City, 60085). If they choose a delivery option, there will be a Google Form sent in their order confirmation email. This is where they will request the delivery.
There are multiple Pop-Up Pantries that use a drive-up service. No ID or referral is required. Please use this link to review the locations, dates, and times.
At COOL, visitors receive food based on family size. COOL distributes prepacked boxes and bags of staples plus at least 1 pound of frozen meat per family member. Guests can also choose many items daily from our bread shelves, produce tables and more.
PADS Lake County is a community-based organization that provides trauma-informed support, resources, and shelter to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and a housing crisis.
Catholic Charities works with anyone in need, regardless of their faith, gender, race, or ethnicity. They focus on 4 areas of need- Immediate Access and Basic Needs, Children, Youth, and Families Service Needs, Seniors Needs (At-home and Community Based), and Affordable Housing Needs.
