Meet the Administrative Team

I have dedicated 16 years to special education, with nine of those years serving as an administrator in the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL). I am honored to be in my fifth year as the Principal of Laremont School.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Currently, I’m pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Capella University. As a leader, I believe in leading with empathy to meet the unique needs of our complex student population while supporting the amazing staff who make Laremont such an exceptional place to learn and grow.

I have been in education for 17 years and have had the privilege of spending much of that time with the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL). I began my journey as a student teacher at Gages Lake School, later became a teacher with SEDOL for four years, and am now in my fifth year as Assistant Principal of Laremont School. I have also served as a member district representative, which has given me valuable perspectives to better support our students.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University. My leadership philosophy is rooted in my love for serving our students, who are truly unique and incredible individuals.
