Meet the Administrative Team
Gina Costa
I have been in education for 17 years and have had the privilege of spending much of that time with the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL). I began my journey as a student teacher at Gages Lake School, later became a teacher with SEDOL for four years, and am now in my fifth year as Assistant Principal of Laremont School. I have also served as a member district representative, which has given me valuable perspectives to better support our students.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University. My leadership philosophy is rooted in my love for serving our students, who are truly unique and incredible individuals.
Geri-Lynn Montellano
I have dedicated my entire career to special education, beginning with my student teaching and spanning 37 years of service with the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL). I hold a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Illinois State University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from St. Xavier University, and a Type 75 certification from Aurora University. My leadership philosophy is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring that students, families, and staff have the resources, support, and knowledge necessary to meet the unique needs of our students.
